I was very apprehensive about having my second hip replacement in February 2017, and in particular the thought of having epidural sedation as opposed to a general anesthetic. I was put at complete ease by the way Mr Barkatali explained the process. I found him very easy to discuss concerns with and he had a very professional and friendly approach. I would not hesitate to highly recommend his services to any future potential patients. I am now almost pain free for the first time in over a year and have Mr Barkatali and his team to thank for that.

Mr Barkatali listened patiently to me whilst I told how my injury had occurred. He explained what he thought had happened which was confirmed by a scan. He arranged for me to have surgery at an early date which sorted out the problem with my knee. He is totally approachable and I am very happy with the result he has obtained for me.

I suffered a complete rupture of my Anterior Cruciate Ligament in June 2016 which resulted in me having to postpone my travelling plans and also affected my day to day life. I first met Mr Barkatali in August 2016 - from the outset Mr Barkatali was fantastic, very calming and put me at ease. He thoroughly explained the options I had and in detail explained the procedure he would perform (reconstruction of my Anterior Cruciate Ligament using a hamstring autograft). I had the operation in October 2016. It is now 3 months since my operation and everything has gone to plan. It will take 9 months, from the operation, until I am fully recovered (standard time frame for ACL reconstruction), but I am extremely happy with the outcome so far! I have seen Mr Barkatali twice since the operation and on both occasions he was as fantastic as when I first met him - answering any questions I had and advising the next steps. I owe Mr Barkatali a lot and I would recommend him to anyone. I cannot praise him enough, he is truly an expert.
